Figuring Out the Right Throw Setup

What I did was measure the width of my screen first, then check the throw ratio of my unit. When you multiply those two numbers, you get the range where the projector “likes” to be placed so the geometry comes out right. After that, I tested a few positions with the projector sitting on a stack of boxes before installing anything permanently. That saved me a lot of headaches because I could see how the image looked and whether my swing felt comfortable. In my first attempt, I put the projector too close, and every time I used my driver I felt like the head might catch the mount if I wasn’t careful. Moving it back even a foot made everything calmer and cleaner. When I’m double-checking the math or helping a buddy with their setup, I open projector distance since that’s what I use to keep things consistent. It doesn’t push any product or anything; it’s just handy for remembering how the throw calculation lines up with real-world placement. Biggest tip: don’t rush to drill. Test multiple spots, swing a few times, and only then commit.
